Mufasa dies, and Simba runs away to the jungle after a botched assassination attempt by the hyenas. That sequence has haunted most of my generation. Of course, it’s also one of Disney’s proudest moments. The Lion King is Shakespeare.
Instead, Scar’s injury is hinted at being Mufasa’s fault. Early on in the movie, Mufasa confronts Scar at his cave for missing the presentation of Simba. He then assumed the throne as king, having told the pride that Simba had died too, and drove the animals in the kingdom near to starvation.
The death of the king is one of the most iconic moments in all of Disney: after saving son Simba from a stampede of wildebeest, Mufasa is sent falling to his death by scheming brother Scar.

Yes, hyenas eat lions. The power of the hyenas’ clan is off the charts. However, it is rarely the case that hyenas hunt a lion, but if a lion is left alone, hyenas would try to kill and eat it. Yet, hyenas tend to avoid adult male lions and attack only weak lionesses and young lions.
Nala is the deuteragonist of the Disney animated feature film, The Lion King. She is the Queen of the Pridelands and is the mother of Kiara and Kion. She is also the main love interest and childhood best friend of Simba.
Meanwhile, Sarabi survives the whole film and stays loyal to Mufasa even after his death. Her granddaughter Kiara bears a striking resemblance to her. According to an original script to The Lion King, Sarabi was meant to be present at Simba and Nala’s cub’s presentation at the end of the film.
Sarabi does not marry or claim Scar as her mate when Mufasa dies, but she does remain the head lioness and is the main lioness to report to Scar about hunts.
Scar debuted in The Lion King (1994). The scheming younger brother of Mufasa, Scar was next-in-line to take the throne until his nephew Simba, Mufasa’s son, was born, replacing him.
Yes, lions eating lions. However, Jones notes that sometimes lions can actually eat other lions, and that Scar seems to hold a skull that looks oddly like that of a lion in the scene where Zazu sings to him. So the natural deduction here is that Scar ate Mufasa, then kept his brother’s skull as a keepsake.

Scarface’ is partially based on a true story. Ben Hecht, who penned the stories for ‘It’s A Wonderful World’ and Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘Notorious,’ wrote the screenplay of the film. The novel, the viewers will be astonished to know, is loosely based on the life of infamous American gangster Al Capone.
