Does the kicker tc10 come with AMP? Product Description. This Package Includes: 1 x Kicker Loaded Car Audio Subwoofer 1 x 2 Channel Amplifier 1 x Wiring Kit This is a great package for your truck or car, it’s all you need to add a nice bass to your ride.
Do you need an amp for a loaded subwoofer? A subwoofer is just a form of loudspeaker, they all need amplifiers, even if they appear not to, as some have the amplifier built into the enclosure. It is easy to identify the difference as a powered device has a connection for a power supply, as well as for the audio signal.
What does loaded enclosure mean? These boxes are designed to save you time and space. If you already have an amplifier installed and looking to upgrade your subs for more bass, you can simply replace what you have with one of our pre-loaded boxes.
How many watts is a 10 inch kicker comp? The Comp 10-Inch Subwoofer works best with a sealed or ported enclosure and 150 watts of recommended power. See below for more details.

Whether a subwoofer is passive or powered isn’t the determining factor on how good the subwoofer is. However, Powered subwoofers are by far the most commonly used as they have their own built-in amplifiers and are not dependent on any amplifier limitations of another receiver or amplifier.
A subwoofer (sub) is speaker, that is dedicated to the reproduction of low-pitched audio frequencies most commonly referred to as bass. This type of sub is a self-contained speaker and amplifier. The speaker and amplifier are matched to for optimal performance and both are housed in the same enclosure.

Enclosures should be built with very dense and heavy wood. We recommend MDF (medium density fiberboard) or Medite (high density fiberboard), They are rigid, heavy and not porous like some particle boards. We recommend 3/4″ (19mm) MDF although 1/2″ (12.5mm) MDF is acceptable for woofers 8″ and smaller.
The CompR is going to give you more output than the CompC because it handles more power, but you need to make sure that you have an amp that will give it the power it wants. If you only have 250 watts RMS, the CompC might be a better choice for a 10 inch subwoofer versus the CompR.
Are Kicker subs good? Yes, Kicker subs are some of the best car subwoofers that you can purchase. They provide a high quality sound with bass that is hard to beat. Kicker subwoofers are also priced at an affordable price which makes owning them all the more exciting.
A subwoofer with a lower electrical resistance produces a louder sound than one with a high electrical resistance, which means that 2ohm subwoofers are louder than 4ohm ones. Although louder, 2 ohm subwoofers are also more likely to produce a poorer quality of sound due to its’ power consumption.
So, the answer is no. Powered speakers don’t need an amplifier. The terms powered and active speakers are often used interchangeably, but there is actually a difference between them. In a pair of powered speakers, there is usually only one amplifier that is built into one of the speakers.
A decent stereo setup will include subwoofers and a speakers that’ll draw about 5-10 amps.
Most subwoofers require a single long cable with RCA connector. Connect it to the output of the AV receiver preamp and to an LFE (low-frequency effect) port of a subwoofer.
Subwoofers are designed for low-frequency audio signal emissions including their structural design, included components, and available input or output ports. Subs cannot be used as speakers because they do not have the capacity to stream high-frequency audio signals required by other speakers.
The name is from the onomatopoeic English word for a dog’s bark, “woof” (in contrast to the name used for loudspeakers designed to reproduce high-frequency sounds, tweeter).
The best way to wire multiple amps to a single power cable is to use a power distribution block. That allows you to use a single cable for most of the run, including the crucial portion that passes through the firewall and then to use shorter individual cables to actually connect to each amplifier.
Bridging an amplifier increases the power that can be supplied to one loudspeaker, but it does not increase the amplifier’s total available power. Because a bridge amplifier operates in mono mode, a second identical amplifier is required for stereo operation.
There are only really two ways to connect 2 speakers to one amplifier – either in parallel or series. If each speaker has an impedance of 8 ohms or more, then you can generally connect them in parallel.
Primarily a live sound term, “bridging” is a means to configure a 2-channel amplifier to drive a single loudspeaker with more power than the two original channels. For example, a 100-watts-per-channel amp may output a single channel of 300 watts after bridging.
Run all the voice coils in series on each sub. Connect one dual 4 ohm and one dual 2 ohm in parrallel to each channel of your amp. It is okay to connect the voice coils in series but not the speakers, so avoid any combinations that involve that involve multiple speakers in series.
While series wiring of multiple subs increases the total effective impedance, parallel wiring of multiple loads lowers the total effective impedance. With subwoofers rated at equal impedances, the system impedance is equal to the impedance of one sub voice coil divided by the number of subs.
You can place a port in your now sealed box. A simple hole saw and drill will do the trick nicely. Youll have to determine the net cubic air space. (net= space left after the subwofer is in) Then determine what tune frequency you want to port the subwoofer at.
the bigger the box, the lower they will hit. to a point. when you get to big it will all just sound like sh.it. if you want really deep bass look at the specs for the box that they tell you and just go slightly bigger if you want.
As the size of the enclosure increases, the mechanical limits of the woofer will be easier to reach. If the box is too small (by a reasonable amount) add power. If the port becomes too small, it may result in port noise, or allow the woofer to simply unload. Do not underestimate the sub / port arrangement.
