How Are Sheep And Goats Different?
What is the difference between the sheep and the goats in the Bible? The Bible tells us, “for we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ….” (2 Corinthians 5:10). You and I and every other person will be either on the right or left hand of Jesus. Those on the right hand, represented as sheep, are the saved. Those on the left hand, represented as goats, pictures the lost.
Are sheep related to goats? Sheep and goats are closely related: both are in the subfamily Caprinae. However, they are separate species, so hybrids rarely occur and are always infertile. A hybrid of a ewe and a buck (a male goat) is called a sheep-goat hybrid, and is not to be confused with the sheep-goat chimera, though both are known as geep.
Are sheep and goats the same size? Size. While goats and sheep are around the same size in terms of height and length, goats are usually slimmer than sheep. You could describe goats as more compact than sheep.

Goats are generally easier to handle than sheep during routine procedures, like deworming, vaccinating and hoof trimming, because frightened sheep, even if they’re usually tame, run and run. You must have a catch area to nab them.
Sheep milk contains about one-third more energy than cow or goat milk. It has double the protein and much more of the right kinds of fats, vitamins and minerals, particularly calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc, while being lower in sodium.
Goats are naturally curious and independent, while sheep tend to be more distant and aloof. Sheep have a stronger flocking instinct and become very agitated if they are separated from the rest of the flock. It is easier to keep sheep inside a fence than goats. Goats will seek shelter more readily than sheep.
In the Bible, sheep represent purity and innocence. It was the lamb that was sacrificed at Passover because it represented the Lamb of God–flawless, pure, and holy. And He’ll “separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats” (Matthew 25:32).
Generally, the goat symbolically represents ideas relating to abundance, modesty, success in solitude, free spirit, and resilience. It is perhaps highly likely that a goat coming into your dream could be an indication of a good time in your life.
