How does PHP calculate leap year? A function named ‘year_check’ is defined that takes a year as a parameter. It checks to see if the year can be divided by 400 or 4 completely, if yes, it means it is a leap year.
How is leap year and leap year calculated? Every year that is exactly divisible by four is a leap year, except for years that are exactly divisible by 100, but these centurial years are leap years if they are exactly divisible by 400. For example, the years 1700, 1800, and 1900 are not leap years, but the years 1600 and 2000 are.
Why is 200 not a leap year? The rule is that if the year is divisible by 100 and not divisible by 400, leap year is skipped.
