Much to his disappointment, he’s never been ginger. He also hasn’t ever regenerated into a woman. However, it is perfectly possible for Time Lords to regenerate into a different biological sex. This does, of course, mean that we could at some point have a female Doctor.
She will be appearing in three feature-length specials in 2022, after which she will regenerate into the 14th Doctor, with an as-yet unknown actor taking over from her.
